We understand that pursuing a profession in the Wellness field is a daunting journey of learning, observing, and practice. Hard work, study and practice pay off over time. As your skills and knowledge grow you will meet requirements that allow you to expand the scope of your involvement in the field. As you progress you will become elgiible for certifications, a measure of your skills and recognition for your effort. Each level of certification affords certain benefits beyond the satisfaction of a job well done. We have tried to make the process easier and smoother as you "go down the rabbit hole" so to speak. We outline the steps, the requirements, and the benefits of each level you go down. It is important to note that ISS is not the issuer of the Certifications, however we do provide the requirements of each of the certifications listed below. It is also important to remember that no matter what level you are on, we as a community must always follow the Langauge Usage and Ethics of Biofeedback in our sessions as we have been trained to.


 


 Certified Biofeedback Technician (C.B.T) 
Certification Process:

Application/Renewal -  NTCB - $65 USD/yr.

Certified Biofeedback Specialist (C.B.S) Application/Renewal - NTCB - $65 USD/yr.

Requirements:

  • Student MUST hold a valid Certified Biofeedback Technician (C.B.T) Certification

NOTE: Biofeedback technicians(C.B.T) have 1 year to complete their requirements to become Biofeedback Specialists.(Suggested 3 - 6 months before applying for CBS Certification)

  • Complete 500 hours Supervised Practice
  • Level 2: Stress Management 101 Certificate

Benefits: Work Unsupervised , Allows expansion in to Biofeedback specialty designations.
